50 Cent and Soulja Boy React Fiercely to Vivica A. Fox's Comments About Their Sexuality

Vivica A. Fox didn’t need a crystal ball to predict that her insinuations about 50 Cent and Soulja Boy wouldn’t sit well with them.

The actress, who will appear on Season 2 of Empire, stirred up trouble during her appearance on Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live. When Andy Cohen asked her thoughts about her ex-boyfriend 50 Cent blaming the Fox show’s seasons ratings dip on “gay stuff,” she questioned the rapper’s sexuality. Now, both 50 and Soulja are striking back.

“First of all, you know the pot called the kettle black is all I’m saying,” Vivica responded to Cohen’s question.

When Cohen asked if 50 Cent could be gay, Vivica replied, “He’s not,” but then she threw some shade, adding, “We had a great time. He just seems like he’s got something that’s not quite clear.”

The Kill Bill actress, who split from 50 in 2003 after a year together, called out the “Candy Shop” singer’s XXL cover with Soulja Boy “which kinda made me go: Hmmm?”

By the end of the broadcast, 50 Cent’s publicist had contacted the show to deny he ever made the “gay stuff” remark, but his comments on the matter didn’t end there.

First, Soulja posted a photo of the 51-year-old on Instagram, calling her a “granny desperate for attention”:

50 regrammed Soulja’s message with his own commentary: “Oh No!!!, Now she thinks I’m gay because I let her lick my a–. LMAO. Wait, I didn’t want her to, she forced me, my hands were tied. 50 shades of grey,” he wrote with a bunch of emojis. (Yes, 50 Cent uses emojis.)

That was followed by a series of other posts, including several unflattering photos of Fox and references to her appearance and age. We’ll just post one and you’ll get the point.

The feud is now officially a social media one with Fox retweeting a bunch of supportive comments and posting a few of her own with the hashtag #LifeIsGood.

Fox later clarified that she wasn’t speculating about Soulja Boy’s sexuality. She was just speaking to her ex-boyfriend’s. Fox responded to Yahoo Celebrity’s tweet to this story, replying, “Let me say this!! Wasn’t speaking about @souljaboy only my EX and his antics! I apologize for that to @souljaboy.” Noted.

Fox’s comments about 50 come at an interesting time because earlier this year she seemed wistful when talking about their relationship.

“He was absolutely the love of my life,” she said on The Meredith Vieira Show. "I really, really cared for him and I loved him very, very much and I always will, but he just wasn’t right for me. That’s hard when you really, really love a person in your heart, you want to be with them, but you finally have to say, ‘He’s just not right for me.’“
