'Daily Show' Host Trevor Noah Undergoes Emergency Appendectomy

Anyone looking forward to tuning into The Daily Show tonight for Trevor Noah’s takes on Tuesday’s election are going to have to hold their horses for a bit.

Perhaps distressed by some alarming decisions by the American electorate, Noah’s appendix ruptured early Wednesday morning and he had to have emergency surgery.

Comedy Central’s PR team tweeted its well wishes for the brand new host, saying that Wednesday’s episode of The Daily Show will be a re-run, but that the surgery went well and he is expected to be back at work on Thursday. Our fingers are crossed.
