Zendaya Made a Sock Bun Look Cool

Sock buns have been on the outs for years now. And let’s be honest: Were they ever cool, really? Zendaya thinks so, and she’s here to prove that we were wrong about sock buns all along.

Appearing in New York City on Tuesday, the 20-year-old wore a full topknot with slicked edges. She gave the updo a unique twist by wrapping around a piece of hair to create a perfectly imperfect hairstyle, rather than the overly uniform roll that’s typical of a sock bun.

She finished off the look with perfect skin, sculpted eyebrows, and a glossy lip. And although this style is simple, Zendaya managed to make it appear anything but basic.
