Worried You Can't Pull Off an Elsa Braid at Any Age? These Three Stars Say 'Let It Go'
You don’t have to be moving to an ice palace in order to rock a superlong braid inspired by Frozen‘s Elsa anymore. Gigi Hadid, Kourtney Kardashian and Naomi Campbell are all taking the look for a swing, proving that it’s amazing (and totally appropriate!) on women of all ages.
Hadid hosted Sunday’s Much Music Video Awards wearing a variety of outfits: A chic red suit, a silver cropped top/hot pants number, a sexy white Victorian-style blazer and more. But the one thing that remained more or less constant: her extra-long blonde braid, which cascaded down to her waist and gave her a fierce, ice-princess vibe that contrasted with her sexy suits.

But the ethereal look isn’t only for cartoon characters and 20-somethings: 37-year-old Kardashian rocked a similar look at her daughter Penelope and niece North West’s joint mermaid birthday party. The star paired her single extra-long French plait, which happened to match Penelope’s, with a bright peach one-piece bathing suit and cutoff denim shorts.

And if you thought Elsa’s braid brigade stopped in the 30s age bracket, think again. The perpetually trendsetting Naomi Campbell, 46,originally made a case for the look at the CFDA Awards a few weeks ago. Her waist-length megabraid was paired with glamorous bangs and a gorgeous black Brandon Maxwell gown, proving that it’s perfect for any age or occasion.
