In many ways, Winona Ryder was the undisputed champion of the SAG Awards.
In an industry dominated by stylists, she shopped her own closet to dress herself, and her black dress was elegant and understated but not boring. Never boring.
And Ryder quite literally took over social media with the amazing faces she made when the cast of Stranger Things (Season 2 of which returns this year on Netflix) won for best ensemble performance in a drama series. We love her. We really love her! A picture might be worth a thousand words, but in her case, you could make it a million.

Actor David Harbour gave the acceptance speech for the award, and said backstage that he’d tweaked it at the last minute “based on the protests that were going on at the airports and all this stuff that’s going down,” adding that the cast provided supportive feedback. And his fired-up words brought the house down. As did Ryder’s reactions.
