Chris Pratt loves braiding wife Anna Faris’s hair. In 2014, he posted a photo series showing off his new hair skills, and fans swooned. “After looking through his pictures & reading his captions, I’m convinced Chris Pratt is the most humble and chillest guy on this planet,” one wrote. Others scorned their own S.O.s for not living up to Pratt’s dream guy standards, “See babe he braids his wife’s hair why can’t u braid mine?!?”

Now, Pratt is revealing all of the details behind his covetable plaiting skills. “My sister taught me how to braid when we were younger. Then, I would braid Anna’s hair at night … it was a nice little ritual,” Pratt told InStyle. “But her hair started breaking off at the top of the braid because she was sleeping on it. So Anna’s mom thought a French braid might distribute the pressure. She taught me when we were in Hawaii shooting Jurassic World.

French braiding is a great way to protect hair during sleep. Women with naturally curly hair use the style to stretch out their curl patterns and protect their hair from being damaged from rubbing against clothes and sheets. Try out the style with multiple braids for tighter curls, and one for a wavier look, and sleep on a silk pillowcase to further protect your locks from damage.
