So far, the Paris couture runways have been a parade of orange makeup — from Chanel’s peach lips and cheeks to Alberta Ferretti’s bright, red-orange lips and Armani’s soft orange draping, it’s been a tangerine dream. On Wednesday, Jean-Paul Gaultier took the trend to the next level with a vibrant, almost fluorescent hue.

With a canvas of fresh, undone skin, eyes were painted with a matte red-orange shadow from the upper lashline to the brows.

From textured coifs to waist-length fishtail braids, hair was fierce and bold.

Hairstylist Odile Gilbert embraced models’ natural hair texture, creating a each with her own unique and intricate look.

Also on Wednesday, Maison Margiela sent models down the runway, no two looking alike; and Dior’s last season called for graphic eyeliner customized to each model’s eye shape. We love to see designers embracing beauty as a testament to individual tastes and personalities.
