Teresa Palmer Proclaims Heavy Lower Eyeliner Cool Again

Teresa Palmer is bringing back everybody’s favorite middle school makeup mishap: heavy lower eyeliner. The Australian actress somehow managed to give this intense look a light and summery feel with the help of her pregnancy glow and sunny complexion.

Her bronzy highlight and soft brows balanced out the darkness under her eyes, keeping them from looking hollow. She gave the look a modern twist with a fresh take on milkmaid braids that zigzag down the back of her head.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen heavy lower liner. Dior’s Haute Couture show featured models each with individual graphic eyeliner looks, many adapted from classic cat eye flicks that instead begin below the eye. We love Palmer’s trend-setting look. We always knew that eyeliner we smeared on before heading to Hot Topic really was cool.
