Some dude built a creepily realistic Scarlett Johansson robot

Chances are, most of us will never meet Scarlett Johansson. Product and graphic designer Ricky Ma realized this sad fact, so he got to work building his own ScarJo.

Ma poured a year and a half and more than $50,000 into building Mark 1, a female prototype robot that exhibits a programmed response to a number of verbal commands. He estimates that almost three-fourths of Mark 1 is made from 3-D printed technology.

"I figured I should just do it when the timing is right and realize my dream," Ma told Mirror Online about deciding to build Mark 1. "If I realize my dream, I will have no regrets in life."

Get a look at that dream in action below.

[youtube http://youtu.be/FL_tZxRqIys]

Is it just us, or does this remind you of Spike's Buffybot from Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

[youtube http://youtu.be/h-t0ko4bbKw]
