Whether hair falls in your face, gets caught under your arm, or beats against your back during a workout, it's a total pain to stop and restyle in the midst of a jog, sports competition, or fitness class.

For fighters, the struggle is even more real, since stopping mid-match for a hair fix could actually get you pummeled. UFC fighter Ronda Rousey, (whose last loss had nothing to do with her hair) has had to perfect a foolproof (and quite cute) hack to keep her hair secured.

Remember, her hair is pretty long to begin with:

And it could easily get in the way during a fight:

To prevent that, she relies on one go-to style, according to an recent interview she gave to Vogue: "I do a couple mini ponytails; then I’ll divide all the ponytails in half and do another row of mini ponytails and another row of mini ponytails," Ronda told them. "I put that all in a big ponytail and braid that, and then I put that in a bun. Because if the bun falls out, I’ve got a braid. If the braid falls out, I’ve got a ponytail. If the ponytail falls out, I’ve got all the little ponytails. It’s pretty much plan A, B, C, and D of all the worst-case scenarios, but I’ve never had to go past plan A!"

The style does look quite secure from every angle:

And it sure seems to hold up when put to the test:

Even if the bun itself does shift around a bit, it's way more practical than wearing all your hair down.
