Most Popular Halloween Candy by State Map Is Nuts

From Cosmopolitan

As it’s known to do, Influenster released its annual list of which Halloween candy was most popular in each state last year and instead of agreeing to just all love candy, the internet, as it’s known to do, went up in arms.

The poll surveyed more than 42,000 candy-eaters nationwide right before 2015’s Halloween, resulting in the map you see above. In particular, West Virginia’s Oreo pick has people upset. As one Twitter user pointed out, Oreos are cookies, not candies (Reminder - not everything is black and white. Some things, like Oreos, are both and can be enjoyed regardless of whatever the fuck they are.).

Other divisive picks were California’s Lifesavers, D.C.’s Almond Joys, and Kentucky’s Whoppers. One person got mad at the five states (Texas, Oregon, Wyoming, Tennessee, and South Carolina) that (...unsurprisingly?) chose candy corn.

If you are upset, be the change you want to see in the world!! With all of your friends, consume enough of a superior candy, like, I don’t know, Sour Patch Kids, to make your voice heard.

Wait - New Jersey was one of the only two states to choose Sour Patch Kids! That’s so weird! New Jersey must just be indisputably perfect 😇. The rest of you can suck it (Lifesavers, tho Cali?!! What a joke.).
