If you look at her life on Snapchat, Kylie Jenner always seems totally assured and confident. But life off-screen has been a very different story, she recently revealed to Complex. In the magazine's latest cover feature, Kylie got real about her longtime struggle with anxiety.

"I never went out," she recalled of a tough stretch in 2015, when life in the public eye felt totally overwhelming. "If I tried to go to the movies or something, I would stop breathing in the middle and just cry. I'm surprised there aren't videos of me out there. I felt super trapped, like everybody was watching me."

Kylie says she's been able to control her panic attacks by developing positive coping methods and being more assertive. "I learned to slow down everything, focus on things that I love, and say no to things I didn't want to do," she told the magazine. "I used to [agree] to do everything, but when I started taking control of my life again, I felt better."

Kylie also finds solace in her work and in her relationship with Tyga.

"I'm just proud of myself for not going crazy," she said. "Tyga helped me with that a lot."
