Kenzo’s Skin Care Line Hits the States; Worth the Wait

image

Kenzo has the feeling of relatively new fashion house, but did you know it actually was founded way back in 1970? Adored by cool girls from Beyonce and Rita Ora to Mindy Kaling and Jessica Alba, the brand’s bold designs have taken street style by storm in recent years (I’ll confess I staked out the Opening Ceremony boutique in New York till I got my hands on a green tiger sweatshirt back in 2012) and just slayed its Spring 2016 collection on the Paris runways this past weekend. Another thing you may not know about Kenzo: It launched a skin care line called Kenzoki in 2001 and didn’t feel like sharing it stateside. Until now.

Kenzoki is a line that’s as gorgeous inside and out (the minimalist packaging is unexpected but beautiful) and the textures range from deliciously whipped creams to a foaming mousse cleanser, to a rice pudding-like scrubs. Using Asian ingredients like white lotus, ginger glower, and rice steam, Kenzoki has a more natural approach to skin care with a focus on radiance-boosting products. Highlights include the Vital-Ice Cream (keep it in the fridge for the full effect), Moisturizing Skin Guardian (a gel-cream ideal for easing into cooler temperatures), and Sensual Hands Balm (a handbag essential). The best part is it’s well priced at $20 to $59 and a lot easier to track down than Kenzo’s perpetually sold out fashions. Click on over to Sephora.com or Net-a-Porter.com to scoop up the whole line.
