Kendall Jenner Painted Her Living Room Appetite-Suppressant Pink

From ELLE

Current top model Kendall Jenner shared a little secret about the seemingly meaningless pink wall she posted on Instagram a couple weeks ago: The shade was chosen for a scientific reason.

"I decided to paint it [my living room wall] pink because while I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with the room, I went to dinner with friends and they had just gone to the 'Human Condition' exhibition at a former hospital in LA," Jenner wrote on her blog.

"They were telling me there's a pink room at the exhibit that had an explanation of the color choice: Baker-Miller Pink is the only color scientifically proven to calm you AND suppress your appetite. I was like, 'I NEED this color in my house!' I then found someone to paint the room and now I'm loving it!"

Indeed, the U.S. Naval Office of Research published research in the '80s detailing those results. They did a study over four years at the Health, Weight, and Stress Clinic at Johns Hopkins University, where more than one third of nearly 1,700 subjects noted Baker-Miller pink reduced their appetite. So while it's not absolute clear causation (that's hard to scientifically verify), it's a solid correlation-and for Kendall, a bonus decorating perk.
