Arch Apothecary in Chicago carries a wide range of beauty brands. (Photo: Arch Apothecary)

Arch Apothecary

“Arch Apothecary is a fabulous independent beauty boutique that carries great makeup, skincare, and hair care lines like ByTerry, Chantecaille, Eve Lom, Kevyn Aucoin, Oribe and Jenny Patinkin Makeup Brushes! It also offers amazing brow services and blow outs.  Emma (one of the owners) is incredibly skilled with brows and their lead makeup artist, Branden, is super talented, especially when it comes to bridal makeup.” Arch Apothecary, 1359 N. Wells, 312.291.9750

Dermatology and Aesthetics

“This is my favorite place for facial and aesthetic services in the city. They just moved into a giant new facility, which has valet parking (huge bonus in the winter) and a great in-house store that sells a big range of skincare products. Cynthia does an array of amazing exfoliating facials including Dermaplaning (my very favorite), light chemical peels, and microdermabrasion. Erin is the go-to gal for cutting edge treatments like micro-needling, laser, and radio- and ultrasonic- therapies.” Dermatology and Aesthetics ,1765 N. Elston, 773.276.1100

Get your juice fix at Owen + Alchemy. (Photo: Instagram)

Owen + Alchemy

“I’m a big fan of juicing. It’s all about beauty from the inside out and making sure your body doesn’t get toxic because when it does, it really shows up on your skin. I love the fresh mixes Owen and Alchemy serve up. Their green juices and salads are so clean and energizing, but it’s their pineapple, jalapeño, and cucumber juice that’s getting me through the summer — so refreshing. The fact that they deliver is a huge bonus.” Owen and Alchemy, 2355 N. Milwaukee, 773.227.3444

Ashley Gregory

“There are manicurists and there are nail artists, and Ashley Gregory is totally the latter. I’ve been lucky enough not only to work with her professionally on photo shoots, but she also makes house calls and comes to do my nails for me at home. Her skill level is beyond, and what she can do with the nails, even if you just want a fresh, natural look, is remarkable.” www.ashley-gregory.com

For all of your hair needs, head to Anthony Cristiano Salon. (Photo: Instagram)

Anthony Cristiano Salon

“Anthony is the hair guy to see in Chicago and Becky Jarvis is his super talented Color Department Head. Their teamwork and vision is much more about “style” than trends, and they both have a very sophisticated, chic approach. They are definitely pricey, but this is a case where you really do get what you pay for.” Anthony Cristiano Salon, Trump Hotel, 401 North Wabash Avenue, 312.268.2440

Pilates at Studio E and Gyrotonics at the Waldorf Astoria

“I love to do a combination of Pilates and Gyrotonics to keep my core strong, my body elongated and my movements fluid, especially since I am either in heels all day, on a plane or bent over clients doing makeup. Lisa Miranda at Studio E is the most caring, warm pilates instructor. She totally caters to what your body needs and guides you through a tough workout without you even realizing how tough it is. Dori Rothschild at the Waldorf Astoria is a retired professional ballerina with the happiest demeanor in the world. Gyro is all about the mind/body connection, focused on a lot of dance patterns and movements — Dori takes you through them with incredible love and joy.” Studio E, 409 West Huron Street, Suite 300, 312.337.7929 / Gyrotonics at the Waldorf Astoria, 11 East Walton, 312.646.1310
