We all remember Jared Leto’s hair at the Golden Globes last year, right? Stylishly wound into a low and loose bun, his ombré hair had everyone talking. This time around, Leto (more accurately, his groomer, Chase Kusero) performed some new follicular magic: the man braid.

The look was an instant hit, to put it mildly. People called Leto’s look “the best hairstyle of the night.” Refinery29 declared his coif “the prettiest hair in Hollywood.” MTV wondered if Leto drew his inspiration from Frozen’s Elsa. Even Allure praised it. Almost inevitably, the braid earned its own Twitter account, @jaredletobraid (tagline: “Move over, man bun. It’s 2015 and I’m taking over three pieces at a time”).

No, it’s not the first time Leto has twisted his tresses—he’s shown off braids before. And True Detective director Cary Fukunaga beat Leto to the plaits punch back in August, when he wore tiny braids to the Emmys.

Still, Leto looked handsome enough to make us eager to see what he’ll do next. French braids? Waterfall braid? Connecting his beard and his hair in one glorious, manly twist? Whatever he chooses, we’ll be watching—and carrying pictures of Leto as inspiration for our next salon visit.
