James Charles Recreated One of His First Makeup Looks to Show How Far His Skills Have Come

From Seventeen

Last week, James Charles made history as CoverGirl's first-ever CoverBoy. As amazeballs as that achievement is on it's own, it's even more mind-blowing to think that he only started doing makeup on himself a year ago.

Actually, some of the beauty guru's very first slayage was in honor of Halloween.

He did a skull:

Disney's Maleficent:

Bambi's mom (tear):

AHS's the Countess:

and a retro art pop look:

To emphasize the glow up, he reimagined his original comic-inspired look with an electric flare that's @jamescharles as eff.

If anything, the one-year-apart photos prove that there's hope for all of our beat skills. Glow up, friends.
