The Internet is enraged over an Instagram video of a woman "washing" a $2 million Maserati with a dog. The post went viral after it was featured on Rich Kids of London's Instagram page, and people are not happy.

The video features a tiny dog, held down on its back on the hood of the car. A woman is moving the dog in circular motions - the same way you would polish a car. Um ... what?

"The only way to wash the iconic 6.0 liter #MaseratiMC12 is with 100% natural puppy fur ensuring a proper polish. (No puppy was harmed in this video - all smiles and tail wags here)." the post's caption said.

The video has since received over 48,000 views and some pretty hostile comments. "Shame on you! Respect lives," said one Instagram user. "It's not hurting the dog, but it's probably stressing and scaring the dog!" said another.

While most people were upset, some users did see the humor in it. "Too cute, now I know what my two Poms are good for," a user wrote.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals agrees with the majority of viewers. "We can understand why people are concerned about this video," an RSPCA spokesperson told The Sun Online. "While the owner does not seem to intend any harm to this dog, the animal may have found this stressful and we would urge owners to think about how something they see as a bit of fun could impact on their pet's wellbeing."

According to Instagram post, the original video came from a London-based user with the handle M666ya. While we're sure this was supposed to be innocent, we hope that next time this car-lover reaches for a sponge … not her puppy.
