Today, history is being made as people around the world celebrate the first Muslim Women’s Day. The day is full of celebration and recognition of Muslim women everywhere.

Fashion too, has recently been making major progress towards inclusivity of Muslim women, with Halima Aden walking the runway of brands including Yeezy and Max Mara. When it comes to beauty, there are dozens of bloggers making a name for themselves, such as Muslim YouTuber Nura Afia, who is a face of CoverGirl. Now, there's Hello Hijab, a line of stylish hijabs for dolls, created by three mothers. The company functions as part of nonprofit, For Good, which focuses on projects that empower marginalized people. Founded in Pittsburgh by Safaa Bokhari, Gisele Fetterman, and Kristen Michaels, For Good was created with the mission to make young Muslim girls feel equally represented and teach people about tolerance towards the Muslim community.

In addition, the company is giving girls the ability to finally have a doll they can relate to with Hello Hijab. Buying one also comes with an added bonus: All proceeds will be donated to the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, Community Blueprint, Jewish Family & Children’s Services of Pittsburgh, and ACLU of Pittsburgh. The first batch of styles will be available on April 1 on forgoodpgh.com.

This isn’t the first time dolls have gotten a makeover to become more realistic and more inclusive of different races, shapes. and sizes. Late last year, Mattel revealed its Ashley Graham Barbie doll, based on the plus-sized model's figure. Earlier that year, Barbie revealed Curvy, Tall and Petite sizes. Let’s hope those new dolls, in addition to Hello Hijab’s genius product, continue to inspire companies to create toys that are inclusive of everyone.
