We all know that sunscreen is the most important part of your beauty routine, but it’s safe to say that nobody actually likes wearing it. That includes Emily Weiss, founder of Into the Gloss and Glossier, who shared an article on Monday revealing that even she can’t stand slathering it on.

Instead of forgoing it, though, she has created a face sunscreen “for people who hate wearing sunscreen.”

“I have a confession to make,” Weiss wrote. “This is hard to admit, but historically, I haven’t worn sunscreen. I know — not good. And it’s a big part of the reason we decided to make our own: a sunscreen that doesn’t suck. A sunscreen so good, so imperceptible, it’ll convert even those who hate wearing sunscreen.”

Weiss promises that Glossier’s sunscreen, Invisible Shield, will not have a chalky white cast, a greasy texture, or an unfortunate chemical smell. Instead, it is a clear serum sunscreen that, according to Weiss, is “like water on the skin,” smells good, doesn’t get in the way of makeup you apply afterward. Most important, the serum blocks UVA and UVB rays and prevents damage from free radicals and pollution.

Two years in the making, this sunscreen has been the most requested product since Glossier’s launch in 2014, and it will be released later this week.

Weiss teased the packaging in her article and on Glossier’s Instagram.

But editors and influencers who already received the product seem to have a different bottle, which is likely an early prototype.

We’ll soon find out what the final packaging will look like, but people are already beyond excited.

If you’re a sunscreen hater like Weiss, prepare to be converted.
