Rainbow bubbles, the Solar System and, a giant eye are just a few of the dazzling hair designs Roxie Jane Hunt has created during the past few days. The hair stylist has a history of doing experimental looks. In the past, she has also painted plenty of colorful looks onto her hair models, including a "rainbow shoreline." Hunt posts these photos, in addition to images of gorgeous flowers braided through hair, rainbow waves and other painted designs (flowers, chevron stripes) to her Instagram account. So far, she's racked up nearly 40k followers.
As for her background, Hunt, or How-to Hair Girl, as she goes by on Instagram, is a hair stylist, creative director and founder of her website by the same name. In addition to creating the fun, colorful designs you'll see on her Instagram page, she also frequently writes about DIY styling and hair care tips.
"I created HTHG to help you forge a beautiful understanding and an expressive relationship with your hair," she wrote on her website. "My mission is to inform, inspire, connect, and help you craft DIY styling+care rituals that allow you to love your hair and experiment with you identity in fun and positive ways."
On Instagram, Hunt calls her work "intuitive hair design." For some of her extreme designs, we're guessing the stylist probably uses a stencil to either paint permanent dyes onto strands or sprays semi-permanent colors in whatever design she's creating. No matter what her technique is, it's stunning and certainly different.
