Your First Look at The 60 Celebrity Cameos in 'Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie'
Update, 4/26: From Kate Moss to Joan Collins, Stella McCartney and more, summer’s highly-anticipated fashion flick, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, is shaping up to be one of the most star-studded movies of all time. The film will feature a whopping 60 celebrity cameos including both fashion insiders and Hollywood A-Listers.
Of the British sitcom’s 60 confirmed cameos, some of the fashion names include Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Suki Waterhouse, Jean Paul Gaultier, Stella McCartney, Jerry Hall and Lara Stone.
The film, which makes its U.S. debut on July 22, 2016, will also include actresses Gwendoline Christie and Joan Collins along with musicians Tinie Tempah and La Roux.

Update, 2/18: The first teaser for the highly-anticipated Ab Fab movie is here, giving us all a first look at Patsy and Edina back in action. In the short trailer, the stylish duo sets sail, sips cocktails on the beach and find some hunky men along the French Riviera to keep them company. The film-which features cameos from Kate Moss, Joan Collins, Stella McCartney and more-is set to debut in July 2016. And from the looks of it, it’s going to be good, sweetie darling.
Update, 1/28: As if the image of Kate Moss emerging from the Thames River in a green sequin gown, champagne glass in hand (see below), for Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie wasn’t enough of an indication: this film is lining up to be one of the most fashion-filled of the year. More images of Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders from the set have emerged and unsurprisingly, there is a lot of fash-un going on. Lumley was spotted on-set wearing a pair of red and black Balenciaga booties while Saunders appeared in a Vivienne Westwood skirt suit accessorized with a pin reading, ‘Reality TV makes me sad’ and an Anya Hindmarch bag.
WWD reports that the film will also include looks from Ashish and Vin + Omi. Ab Fab: The Movie is set to be released in July 2016.
Update, 12/1: The movie adaptation of the beloved Brit TV series Absolutely Fabulous is lining up the ultimate fashion filled cast. With cameos already confirmed by Kate Moss, Jean Paul Gaultier, Joan Collins, Victoria Beckham, Stella McCartney and reportedly Kim Kardashian, the movie adaptation keeps on adding fashion’s biggest insiders to the cast. The latest to land a role in the film is none other than Cara Delevingne, Daily Mail reports. No word yet on how Delevingne, who fittingly has made the jump from model to actress, will play into the plotline of Kate Moss’s fabulous death scene. Update, 11/9: Over the weekend, photos of Kate Moss wading through the Thames River in a sparkly emerald Jean Paul Gaultier gown (empty champagne flute in hand and cig in mouth, of course) emerged. At first glance this could just be the most epic supermodel partying moment of all time (this is Kate The Great we’re talking about here) but the photos were actually taken from the set of the upcoming movie adaptation of the cult-favorite Brit fashion TV series, Absolutely Fabulous.
Moss was spotted filming her cameo role for Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie alongside Jean Paul Gaultier in a scene that will reportedly mark the supermodel’s untimely death in the movie. Leading ladies Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley were spotted filming a scene at the supermodel’s “death shrine” along the Thames River, The Daily Mail reports. Also rumored to be making cameos in the upcoming film are Kim Kardashian, Emma Bunton, according to The Cut.
Original Article, 10/20: Fashion lovers rejoice: the beloved '90s British sitcom, Absolutely Fabulous, is finally making its long-awaited return. Reprising their roles from the BBC TV series, Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley are back in action as Edina and Patsy in the first official image released from Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie. Unsurprisingly, the series’ fab leading ladies are toasting champagne while sailing on a yacht. The film is set to be released next year, Variety reports.
The movie’s plot will follow that of the TV series, following Patsy and Edina, a disgruntled fashion editor and a PR agent, respectively, living a life of drinking, partying, shopping and of course, complaining. The self-destructive women will be joining alongside the original TV cast including Julia Sawalha as Saffy, Jane Horrocks as Bubble and June Whitfield as Mother. In the film, Patsy and Edina get themselves into a mess as they are blamed for an incident that occurs at a major fashion launch party-and then must flee from the media and paparazzi to the French Rivieria.
In true Ab Fab style, Entertainment Weekly also reports that the film is lining up a cast of celebrities from the fashion, acting and music worlds. The TV series notably included special guest stars over the years, including the likes of Naomi Campbell, Twiggy, Debbie Harry, Kate Moss, Elton John, Stella McCartney, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Helena Bonham Carter and many more.
