CRF Frozen Foods Recall Now Affects All 50 US States and Several Canadian Provinces
An approximated 358 consumer products under 42 separate brands have been recalled by CRF Frozen Foods for possible listeria contamination. The expanded recall expands the previous one issued late last month recalling 15 frozen organic vegetable products, and now includes “all of the frozen organic and traditional fruit and vegetable products manufactured or processed in CRF Frozen Foods’ Pasco facility since May 1, 2014,” according to a release. The affected products have best by/sell by dates between April 26, 2016 and April 26, 2018. A full list of products can be found on the official release. They include “organic and non-organic broccoli, butternut squash, carrots, cauliflower, corn, edamame, green beans, Italian beans, kale, leeks, lima beans, onions, peas, pepper strips, potatoes, potato medley, root medley, spinach, sweet potatoes, various vegetable medleys, blends, and stir fry packages, blueberries, cherries, cranberries, peaches, raspberries, and strawberries.”
Seven people from three states have been hospitalized due to listeria, and some have been linked to consuming CRF products. Two of these individuals have died, however listeria was not the cause of death.
Affected products may have been purchased in all 50 U.S. States and the following Canadian Provinces: British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.
