Courteney Cox Gets Candid About Her Plastic Surgery Regrets

In between physical changes and dealing with our culture’s obsession with youth, getting older is hard enough for anyone. But for women in Hollywood—and all the pressures and criticism that come with it—aging can be one of the scariest things out there. In a new television episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls, actress Courteney Cox is finally speaking out about what that’s like.

"Getting older is not the easiest thing,” the Friends actress says. "There’s a pressure to maintain your looks, being a woman in this business. I think I was trying to keep up with getting older, trying to chase that…it's something you can't keep up with.”

"Sometimes you find yourself trying and then you look at a picture of yourself and you go 'Oh God, I look horrible,'" she reveals. But for Cox, there was also the constant reminder from Internet commentors that relentlessly talk about her appearance.

“The comments…if I ever want to feel really bad about myself, I just click on one of those comments,” Cox tells Grylls.

Cox’s struggle with aging in the public eye has led her to get some procedures that she now regrets.

"I have done things that I regret and luckily there are things that dissolve and go away,” says Cox. “So that's good because it's not always been my best look."
