#CopyThat: Julianne Hough’s Sunset Eyes
Julianne Hough is a modern-day triple threat who can also hold her own on the red carpet. The 28-year-old’s glam squad — hairstylist Jill Buck and makeup artist Spencer Barnes — is constantly reinventing her look. One of our favorite Hough beauty moments is this smoldering eye, which reminds us of a picture-perfect sunset. With her blonde locks pulled up into a tight top knot, our focus is immediately drawn to all those well-blended and deeply pigmented shadows.

Step-by-step instructions
1. Use a small, flat brush to apply Lancôme Hypnôse Dazzling Eye Shadow in Rouge Cabaret (a metallic wine) across lids.
2. Brush Velvet (a matte burgundy) from the Kat Von D MetalMatte Eyeshadow Palette onto the inner crease and outer corners of eyes.
3. Use Fringe (a pale pink shade from the same palette) on the inner eye, brushing up into the brow bone.
4. Take a black liquid liner like Dior Diorshow Art Pen and draw a tight line against the upper eyelids.
5. Add a few strokes of a matte gray eye shadow on the top corners of lids. Then, use a flat, angled brush to layer the gray and burgundy shades under lower lash line.
6. Dust a latte-colored highlighter (Williams used the LORAC Pro Matte Eye Shadow Palette) on the brow bone to accentuate color gradation. Pro tip: Intensify highlight with liquid foundation.
7. Dab jet-black shadow onto outer corners and in the crease.
8. Generously coat top and bottom lashes with black mascara.
9. Trace Chanel Le Crayon Khôl Intense Eye Pencil in Noir along the upper and lower waterline, and layer the metallic wine shadow underneath lashes.
10. Add a warm glow to the complexion with a rose-bronze blush.
11. Complete the look by painting lips with a high pigment gloss, like Dior Addict Fluid Stick in Mirage.
