Beyoncé and Jay Z's Marriage Is Reportedly "Stronger" as Another Becky Theory Surfaces

From Cosmopolitan

Now that you've had a few days to wrap your head around Beyoncé, Jay Z, Lemonade, and everything Bey's visual album could possibly be referring to, it's time to fill your curious brains with even more reports about the couple you love to love. There's no better place to start than with People, who are claiming that the Carters are better than ever. Their source says that the couple "definitely went through a rough patch a couple years ago, but they came out better in the end." The same source adds that Jay has been "very supportive of Beyoncé," citing the couple's most recent appearance at the Super Bowl, where he was "her biggest fan."

E! News is singing a similar song, quoting a source who says the couple's had problems "for years" and that a "commitment issue" was constant: "Beyoncé didn't fully trust Jay and it was hard for her to get past that." The E! source says that counseling has helped, even though the couple went through the infamous elevator episode, which the source calls a "tipping point." The source also offers this thought:

The fact that everything became so public, it was embarrassing, and [it was] the first time she had to really deal with some of the questions people were asking about her marriage. It changed things. It was a pivotal moment.

E!'s report also includes a bit on Becky, who by the way, is not Rachel Roy because Rachel said so herself yesterday. According to another source, the designer's now-deleted Instagram post was an "immediate reaction" and she "wanted to defend herself" after Lemonade aired. "Bey will never mention any names," adds a third source, "but the people who those songs are about know."

Speaking of Becky, Page Six also has an interesting take on her identity after speaking to a source who believes the girl has more than one identity: "I don't think Beyoncé is calling out one girl," the source says. "It is many girls. The rumors have been around for years." The source also mentions Bey and Jay's "rocky patch" and how Lemonade is Beyoncé's way of coming to terms with everything. My favorite theory, however, has to be from a second Page Six insider, who says this whole Becky thing is just like the time Bey and Jay pretended to be Bonnie and Clyde in 2002. The Carters are only developing these "storylines" for album sales, says the source. "Jay and Beyoncé are entertainers at the top of their game. Do you think Jay would release her album on [his own] Tidal if it really was all about him? He is 100 percent behind this."

If you're more confused than ever, join the club. Or just watch Lemonade again. Or wait for the first images from the "Formation" tour to surface. The tour kicks off tonight in Miami, Florida, and Jay is there, of course. He's already been spotted by E! riding around the stadium in a golf cart with Beyoncé, who's wearing sparkly stockings and an enormous hat fit for a true queen.
