While the doll-faced model crew of the ‘90s is a thing of the past, babydoll beauty has returned to the runway at Carmen Marc Valvo. “The whole idea is this kind of innocence,” celebrity makeup artist Ted Gibson told our Beauty Director, Dana Oliver. “How do you make a New York model look innocent? What I thought immediately was textured hair.” Gibson and his team created “frizzy” texture by wrapping hair around French hairpins in 12-15 sections and pressing with a flatiron.
