Gray hair has been the shocking reveal of choice for a while now. Of course, we’re talking about the gray dye jobs, not the real gray hair that shows how wise and seasoned you may be. Rita Ora, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, et. al., have all donned the gray locks for a bit of something new. Now megastar Ariana Grande has gone gray and her fans are loving it.

btw i (it's grey)

The “Dangerous Woman” singer posted her new look on Instagram this weekend, racking up over 3.7 million accolades within the day. While the picture looks like her hair is a bit on the light purple side, she helpfully captioned the post with “btw i (it’s grey)”.

Despite the massive size of her following (or maybe because of it), we were hard pressed to find anyone on social media posting negative opinions about the star’s new look. “Oh!! You could be Daenerys secret sister fir the next season of game of thrones! You look amazing,” said one Grande groupie. “Wow you really should keep this look for a while it looks gorgeous on you,” another wrote. Between those and the many, many heart emojis and “Yaaassss” statements, we think her hair is a hit.

It has been nearly five months since an explosion marred the conclusion of a Grande concert in the Manchester, England. After postponing the tour she was on — taking time to host a globally promoted benefit concert for the victims of the bombing — Grande eventually picked back up and restored the concert tour. “Calling it off and going home was not an option,” she said in a recent interview. “The message of the show was too important.”
