Amy Schumer Responds to the "Trolls" Who Body-Shamed Her for Wearing a Swimsuit

From Cosmopolitan

Along with being a ridiculously talented comedian and actress, Amy Schumer is also a major role model when it comes to self-love and body confidence for women everywhere. The comedian has always been very outspoken about the fact that sexy bodies come in all shapes and sizes - and yet, she can't seem to escape constant scrutiny from the media over the fact that she doesn't fit Hollywood's "ideal." Rather than let the criticism get to her, however, Amy Schumer has officially just clapped back in the most Amy Schumer way possible.

Over the weekend, Amy was photographed wearing a one-piece swimsuit on the beach during a vacation to Hawaii with her boyfriend, Ben Hanisch. After the photo started to receive some very hateful comments, the comedian took to Instagram to directly address her body-shamers, and to clarify once and for all that she loves her body just the way it is.

"I hope you find some joy in your lives today in a human interaction and not just in writing unkind things to a stranger you've never met who triggers something in you that makes you feel powerless and alone," Amy wrote. "This is how I look. I feel happy. I think I look strong and healthy and also like Miss Trunchbull from Matilda. Kisses!"

Hilarious and empowering? You tell 'em, Amy.
