94-Year-Old Betty White Is Free for Dates: Men Are ‘a Hobby of Mine’

Calling all eligible men: a Hollywood icon is seeking suitors.

During an interview with Today‘s Al Roker on Thursday, actress Betty White revealed that at age 94, she’s mostly out of the dating game — but not by choice!

“Nobody asks me,” she admitted. “Who’s gonna wanna ask out a 94-year-old woman? It just doesn’t happen.”

When Roker assured her there are definitely interested parties, White jokingly asked, “Well, how old are you?”

White has been married three times. Her marriage to TV host Allen Ludden lasted 18 years until his death after a battle with stomach cancer in 1981.

Further joking about her charms, White said that she’s more like her Mary Tyler Moore Show persona Sue Ann Nivens than her Golden Girls character Rose Nylund because “she liked men and so does Betty.”

She added of the other sex: “It’s a hobby of mine. They might not know it, though.”

Enjoying renewed fame decades into her career, White said she “never” takes her success “for granted.”

“How can you not enjoy it?” she asked Roker.

As for the secret to her Hollywood longevity, White pinpointed kindness, explaining, “You don’t say the hurtful thing even if you’re irritated or upset because that sticks, that sticks around.”

She also advised, “Everybody should have or cultivate a passion. Don’t be afraid to really get hooked on something, because that will refurbish your entry.”

So does White plan on leaving the scene anytime soon for retirement? Not so much — or as she put it: “Why?”
