Tired of seeing your bright red lipstick smeared across the rim of your coffee mug? Sick of kissing someone hello and getting gloss all over their cheek? It’s certainly not how you imagined leaving your mark on the world.

Luckily, there are lipsticks out there that last for hours on end—yep, even through eating, drinking, and kissing. (Just remember to exfoliate your pout and dab on a thin layer of balm before applying, since long-wear lip colors are often drying.) Click through for our favorites—you’ll thank us for never having to touch up your pucker post-makeout again.

Make Up Forever Aqua Rouge

This liquid lipstick contains polymers and oils that lock in color until you’re ready to wipe it all off with an oil-based makeup remover at the end of the day. True story: The brand actually tested the double-ended product (one side contains highly pigmented color, the other a clear gloss to add major shine), which is available in 15 shades, under water for five hours to ensure it lasts.

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro Last Lip Color

Oftentimes, liquid lipsticks can be super drying, but that’s not the case with this long-wearing product from L’Oréal. Here’s how it works: You apply the color, letting it set for two minutes. Then you swipe on the shiny balm on the other end to seal everything in and keep your lips moisturized. The color lasts for a whopping 24 hours (not that we’d recommend sleeping with your makeup on).

Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick

It’s revolutionary, indeed. Unlike other mattes that can leave your lips in a state of flakiness, this one is actually hydrating, as it’s packed with avocado, olive, and babassu oils along with shea butter and vitamins C and E.

Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Lip Stain & Shine

Lip stains are generally long-lasting, but they can do a number on your kisser. That’s why we worship this one, which contains coconut water to lubricate parched lips. Step one: Apply the stain. Step two: Swipe on the matching gloss on the other end. The result: Color lasting up to 14 hours.

We’re legit obsessed with this dual-sided liquid lipstick that stays in place for 10 hours. The base color is made with polymers that ensure it’ll stick to your lips insanely well, while the gloss isn’t super-goopy.

Too Faced Melted Liquifed Long Wear Lipstick

Too Faced co-founder Jerrod Blandino was inspired by the melted form of lipsticks in the lab, so he created this liquid lipstick/gloss hybrid that’s applied out of the tube. The shades are all luscious and bold. Our fave? Strawberry, a bright red.
