With the highly anticipated 50 Shades of Grey movie hitting theaters February 13, many brands are coming up with creative product tie-ins. The latest perhaps makes the most sense: a collection of limited edition nail lacquers from OPI. While there aren’t actually 50 shades of gray, as the title of the bestselling E.L. James book might suggest, there are five grayish hues, along with one deep red in the range. Now fans of the racy book can be as groomed to perfection as Anastasia Steele.

“The Fifty Shades of Grey book series is one of the greatest publishing sensations of all time, with more than 100 million copies sold to date. Fans have fallen in love with the characters and are eager to see them translated onscreen,” says OPI Co-Founder & Brand Ambassador Suzi Weiss-Fischmann. “The collection captures the mood, feelings, and emotions of this film.”

The shades include Dark Side of the Mood (a stormy charcoal), Cement the Deal (a cool gray), Embrace the Gray (a moody gray crème), My Silk Tie (a gleaming silver), Shine for Me (a shimmering metallic silver). Rounding our the collection is  Romantically involved (a deep red crème) that Weiss-Fischmann says represents passion.

“Color is so much more than something to admire. The colors we choose to wear represent our personalities, our moods, our feelings,” she says. “The collection bottles the film’s passion, luxury and power in six beautiful nail lacquers ideal for expressing sensuality through beauty.” The limited edition bottles will hit select stores, salons, and Ulta.com in January for $9.50 each

This is not the first 50 Shades collab. Make Up For Ever has several branded makeup sets priced at $32 to $79 hitting Sephora on December 26, Nasty Gal launched a themed sweatshirt, and there is an official lingerie line already on the market. There may be more officially licensed items in the works, too. The 50 Shades empire has secured rights to soaps, fragrance, skin treatments, ahir removal products, and spa and massages services, amongst others. Clearly Christian Grey isn’t the only one with a keep business sense.
