Some of the favorite events during the event are the Blossom Kite Festival and the parade down Constitution Avenue, which also happens to be one of the largest displays in the country. This year’s event lasts until April 16.
Spring is a great time to visit Washington, D.C. Attractions that have been closed for the winter are beginning to reopen, the weather is warm and there’s an extra hour of daylight to enjoy the sights.
The city is full of family-friendly activities. Take the kids to the Asia Trail, gaze up at the starts at Rock Creek Park, go shopping at the National Mall, and have some fun at the East Potomac Golf Course.
You can’t go to D.C. without visiting the variety of museums. Take your family to the National Museum of Natural History, the National Building Museum and the National Museum of American History. Then make sure you visit the Washington Monument, the National Harbor and the Capital Wheel.
