Siddaramaiah expands his ministry with induction of new ministers

Karnataka Chief Minister K. Siddaramaiah on Saturday expanded his ministry, with the induction of new ministers amid growing chorus for removal of tainted ministers. Karnataka governor, Hansraj Bhardwaj administered the oath to the new ministers before a packed crowd in a stadium. The newly elected Congress government in Karnataka got its chief minister, as senior party leader K. Siddaramaiah who took oath before thousands of his supporters in Bangalore. According to reports Congress Lok Sabha member A.H. Vishwanath from Mysore and 95-year-old freedom fighter H.S. Doreswamy, are amongst many who have been strident in their call to induct party legislators with clean image into the state cabinet. Doreswamy was among the first group of people that Siddaramaiah called on in Bangalore after taking oath as chief minister four days ago.
