National Security Advisor (NSA) Shiv Shankar Menon along with the members of the Indian delegation met Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang in Beijing to commence the 16th round of India-China border talks. Reportedly, they held talks on the vexed border issue between the two Asian giants. The Chinese State Councillor, Yang Jiechi, headed the China's delegation at the parleys. Apart from Li, Menon is also scheduled to meet China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi, as part of his visit. This is the first meeting between the two neighbours on the issue after Chinese troops infiltrated into Indian Territory in the Ladakh region of Kashmir earlier this year. The two days long talks are scheduled to be followed by Indian Defence Minister A K Antony's visit to China between July 04 and 07.
