This week, General Motors is marking the production of its 500 millionth vehicle — a milestone that could have been passed in China, South Korea or Thailand as easily as Michigan, Texas or Canada. While GM will celebrate the event throughout the month by giving away five new cars to random GM owners and offering a special round of new discounts, we took the opportunity to ask what were the 10 best vehicles ever built by the 106-year-old company. The range runs the gamut from the Great Depression to the 21st century, but all combine technology, style and forward thinking into memorable rides.
