On display for the first time at the 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the Scion FR-S Monogram Series and the Scion tC Monogram Series package upscale appointments at affordable prices. In advance of the auto show, Scion Vice President Doug Murtha said, "Through this limited edition Monogram Series...we provide a great price to go head-to-head with the competition and encourage more drivers to get excited about experiencing a Scion."
The more affordable of the two is the 2014 Scion tC Monogram Series, which is priced from $22,195, including a $795 destination charge. Equipped with leather seats, BeSpoke premium audio system, navigation system, smartphone connectivity, and a Smart Key passive entry system with push-button starting, the tC Monogram Series model is well equipped for the price. Additionally, it gets heated front seats, upgraded interior materials, a rear window wiper, cargo mat, and a rear spoiler. An automatic transmission is optional, for $1,000.
At $28,195, the 2014 Scion FR-S Monogram Series model is equipped with the same upgrades as the tC Monogram Series, plus Alcantara seat inserts, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated exterior mirrors, frameless interior rearview mirror, and more. A 6-speed sequential-shift automatic transmission runs an extra $1,100, and special Whiteout paint costs $395. Load this up with all the extras and the price eclipses $30,000.
Both of the Scion Monogram Series models are offered in all available colors, and include the Scion Service Boost, which is free scheduled maintenance for the first 2 years or 25,000 miles of ownership. The special-edition models are scheduled to go on sale at the end of February of 2014.
