Three contemporary Nissan race cars, one a rolling laboratory, another from the international motorsport circuit, and a third from Australia’s V8 Supercars, recently did battle in an exhibition run in Australia. The exhibition was a good ol’ time attack around a common race track, but with the slower vehicles being given a head start.

The three cars in this particular time attack include the Leaf NISMO RC, the GT-R NISMO GT3 and the Altima V8 Supercars race car. The Leaf is the weakling here, with its electric motor only delivering 80 kilowatts (107 horsepower). The GT-R is the middleman, with its twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V-6 producing close to the stock GT-R’s 545 horsepower. Finally, there’s the Altima V8 Supercars race car whose 5.0-liter V-8 is dishing out around 650 horsepower.
