New Honda NM4 Vultus Motorcycle is a Real-Life ‘Batbike’
If you live in the US of A, and wanted an exciting new car with a Honda badge…you’re out of luck. The latest product portfolio from the Japanese automaker is lackluster, at best. You’d have to cross the pond to find anything fun from them. But if you are of the two-wheeled persuasion, Honda actually manages to deliver the goods in the States– and they just upped the ante with this bike that looks right out of The Dark Knight.
Honda calls it the NM4 Vultus, and though it looks like an oversized scooter, it is actually a larger bike that take inspiration from anime and “Japanimation.” Despite its influences, all we see is missed opportunity for co-branding with DC Comics.
The bike features a 745cc twin-cylinder engine that makes 54 horsepower and 50 lb ft of torque. That my not seem like much for you four-wheeled folks, but at 540 pounds, it delivers 225 hp per metric ton. Top Gear claims that’s the same ratio as the original Acura NSX.
That ratio, combined with a low center of gravity should make for an appealing ride. No word one pricing or availability, but if this is not sold in the US, it would be just one more shot in the gut from Honda.
