$4.6M Lamborghini Veneno Roadster Debuts on Aircraft Carrier
Remember when Lamborghini unveiled the Veneno and comparisons of a fighter jet came to mind? Yeah, well Lamborghini took those comments to heart, and revealed the all-new Veneno Roadster on the flight deck of an Italian aircraft carrier in Abu Dhabi.
Yesterday aboard the Nave Cavour, the fighter-jet inspired Veneno Roadster showed itself off to the world. Of course, only a few high-powered attendees were at the event like His Excellency Giorgio Starace, the Italian Ambassador to the UAG, and the Admiral of High Seas Forces, Paolo Treu.
The two, along with former captain of the national Italian soccer team, Fabio Cannavaro, were on hand to witness this raging bull first-hand. Lamborghini hopes it can find such well-heeled individuals to buy the $4.6 million roadster. Of course, an extremely limited number of these custom Lamborghinis are set to be built, each with 750 horsepower courtesy of a V12, and a top speed of 220 mph.
(Note: reports on the price have varied from $4.5 million to $5.3 million. The price is €3.3 million, and the confusion could likely stem from differing interpretations of monetary conversions. Regardless, the car is impossibly expensive, and insanely rare. Hyperbole is likely called for at a time like this.)
