Nissan Titan Warrior Concept Takes The Road Not Traveled

What’s the point of a concept truck like this one, the Nissan Titan Warrior? Unveiled today in Detroit, the Titan Warrior is a mostly cosmetic remix of the all-new Nissan Titan XD full-size diesel, with the 5-liter Cummins turbo V-8 left untouched. What was redone instead was the exterior and stance, all meant to show off an off-roading feel that Nissan’s full-size pickup has heretofore not possessed.

Looking over the Titan Warrior, while it’s full of auto-show glitz like roof-mounted spotlights, there’s no pieces made of unobtanium that would be impossible to build for paying customers. The new XD, competent as it is, isn’t the most exciting truck, and models like the Ford Raptor and Ram Rebel show there’s room in the market for more style, even if the function isn’t as robust. Getting potential buyers to wonder what could be is the best compliment a concept like the Titan Warrior could hope for.
