What’s old is finally new, and the 2015 Ford Mustang has officially hit the web. It’s one of the biggest reveals in recent Ford history, and there’s a lot to be excited about. The new pony car received a full facelift and butt enhancements. But how much different is it actually from the previous generation of Mustang? Take a look:
For 2015, the new Mustang gets a full fastback makeover. A lot of people like it — we think it’s questionable, to say the least. But then again, the rear of the 2014 Mustang GT wasn’t really much better to look at either.
The front of the new Mustang is clearly better, and if you think otherwise you’re probably a loser. Yes, it does lose much of that “retro” styling that made the Mustang unique, but in the process, it gained a sleeker, more futuristic nose reminiscent of the Evos concept. You may not love it at the moment, but it will grow on you.
Speaking from personal experience, we can say that the 2014 Mustang’s interior was cheesy and terrible and filled with all sorts of cheap plastics. But for 2015, things are looking up. The center console is much sleeker, and those horrid cheap plastics seem to be mostly done with. Even the steering wheel received a much-needed facelift.
We’ll reserve judgement on performance until we actually get our hands on the thing.
