And who said the residents of Washington and Colorado were the only ones to have all the fun? Jeep wants everybody to experience the joy of being high. Ok, not that kind of high, but rather being elevated in the mountains, with three new Altitude Edition Jeeps.
The Jeep Cherokee may not be the most heralded of production Jeeps, but there is something about that quirky personality that draws us to attention. In standard guise, the Cherokee isn’t much more than a not-so-pretty face, but with the Altitude treatment, it receives a subtle new grey paint scheme, black accents and black wheels.
Not to mention the 3.2-liter V6 and 271 horsepower.
Not one to be outdone, the Grand Cherokee Altitude edition comes with a bright white new getup, with the same black accents and wheels. Under the hood is a larger and more powerful 3.6-liter V6 engine and 290 horsepower.
The starchild of Jeep’s rugged lineup — the Jeep Wrangler — also received the Altitude treatment. With a full “blacked out” look, the darkened accents give way to the Sahara-inspired paint scheme.
Under the hood sits the same 3.6-liter V6 found on the Grand Cherokee, this time making 285 horsepower.
