Meet the Jaguar Project 7 Concept. The very same concept that only yesterday we were pondering over exactly what it might be. Now here it is in the flesh, and it drop dead gorgeous.

The F-Type-based one-off is a baby blue, single seat, Jag for the track. This way you don’t have room for any pesky backseat drivers. And the bright blue getup paired to the “7″ moniker brings back memories of the seven Le Mans victories Jag racked up between the 1950s and 1990s.

Other features include a revised new fascia, a set of handsome pinstripe racing tires, a dropped and chopped windshield and a sophisticated rear wing. The new look pulled together by the aforementioned signature blue paint scheme accented with classic white racing stripes and numbering.

Under the bonnet the 7 sports the very same supercharged 5.0-liter V8 found in the current F-Type with 542-hp and an 8-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.

You can see the concept on display at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed along with a whole host of new Jags to drool over. Catch the Project 7 in action below:
