Why BMW’s “Fastest Christmas Song” reminds us of the Grinch

Oh what fun it is to watch BMW toss around a singing quartet in an M135i handled by racer Martin Tomczyk, who drives for BMW in the German DTM stock-car series. But "The Fastest Christmas Song In The World" also reminds one just how Grinchy some automakers can be when they decide to keep a 320-hp, rear-wheel-drive hatchback successor to the vaunted 1M super-minicar out of the United States. I know, I know, not a single person of means in America wants to spend $40,000 on a three-door hatchback that's no bigger than a Ford Focus, even if it hits 60 mph in 4.9 seconds. Still feels like a lump of shredded tire in the stocking.
