If you were out and about at any of the Pebble Beach auctions this weekend, we hope you brought some cash. And a lot of it. Alongside the world’s most expensive Ferrari, a brand new BMW i8 with special Concours d’Elegance enhancements went for a mind-boggling $825,000. That’s nearly six-times MSRP.
The i8 went under the hammer last night during Gooding & Company’s Annual Pebble Beach auction, and is one of the first to arrive in the U.S. This Pebble Beach one off features a custom interior, Pebble Beach stitching, and a frozen grey exterior.
With that $825,000 price tag, that makes it the most expensive BMW i8 in the world. But if you fancy a much less pricey version of BMW’s hybrid coupe, you can drop a measly $135,700. That’s much cheaper than $825K, at least.
