  • Ferrari Modulo concept catches fire driving through Monaco

The one-off Ferrari Modulo concept is not immune to such a fate, as the spaceship of a car recently caught on fire while out driving. In fact, it's certainly far more likely for an untested concept car to experience more issues than any kind of a production car that's gone through years of testing and development. This particular incident was documented on Twitter by Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus.

  • Singer bringing some 911s to the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Singer is celebrating 10 years of existence at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and it's bringing along a few special 911s for the party. The one we're most excited to see again is the DLS study Singer being built in collaboration with Williams. Apparently Singer has been hard at work testing and working on perfecting the model that debuted at last year's Goodwood, and they'd like to share the results of that testing.

  • McLaren 600LT gets impounded minutes after new owner drives it off the lot

Canada doesn't mess around with excessive speeding, as a McLaren 600LT owner just found out the hard way. The West Vancouver police department caught the 39-year-old McLaren owner doing 161 km/h (100 mph) in a 90 km/h (56 mph) zone. Unfortunately for the owner, Canada impounds cars for speeding that much, and so police impounded the McLaren.

  • Hotter Cadillac CT4-V prototype spied testing at GM's Proving Grounds

Cadillac already teased us once with the hotter CT4-V and CT5-V at the Belle Isle Grand Prix, but these photos are still the best look yet at what's next for the Cadillac V-Series. Cadillac hasn't said, so it could be anything. The middle, raised section of the hood is a little taller and the whole front-end design looks a lot like the one teased in Belle Isle.

  • The 2020 Chrysler Voyager is a cheap Pacifica minivan

You're looking at photos of a Pacifica with a Voyager badge on it, because that's essentially what the new Voyager is. Chrysler took the lower trim levels of the Pacifica and decided those would now be Voyagers. Higher trim levels of the Pacifica are still the Pacifica.

  • BMW says electrification is overhyped, diesel engines have at least 20 more years

Despite just participating in a flurry of hyped, electrified car reveals, BMW isn't convinced that the end is nigh for the internal combustion engine. The diesel engine still has oodles of time left in the world, and the shift to electrification is overhyped, says the BMW Group board member for development, Klaus Frohlich. A report from Automotive News quotes Frohlich declaring that the diesel engine still has at least 20 more years, and the gasoline engine, at least 30 years.

  • It's Tremor time: 2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty adds Tremor offroad package

More specifically, Ford is introducing the 2020 F-Series Super Duty Tremor Off-Road package. It's not an entirely new model, but the Tremor package is a rather comprehensive bit of kit Ford has put together. You may have fond memories of the Tremor from earlier this decade.

  • The Volvo XC90 Armored is a 10,000-pound bullet-stopping family SUV

Volvo just halfway took the wraps off its new XC90 Armored. For example, the three-row family crossover has 360-degree ballistic resistance, as well as explosive resistance. To get extra granular, this Volvo is rated to withstand full steel jacket rounds, but you'll need VR9 protection to stop full copper alloy jacket bullets, according to the armor company working with Volvo.

  • 2020 Audi Q7 revealed with new styling and Audi's newest tech

The three-row SUV is the largest Audi SUV out there, and it gets slightly (0.4 inch) longer with this update. Audi positioned the smaller Q8 as its flagship SUV this year, but this improved Q7 is out to make your decision a bit tougher. Both the front and rear fascias are massaged to adopt the newest SUV styling from Audi, looking a bit more like the Q8 from the front.

  • California brush fire torches $2.1 million worth of cars on a CarMax lot

Fire officials assessed the damages — 26 cars were incinerated, and an additional 60 burned in some way or another.

  • BMW Vision M Next concept debuts, shows the way forward for BMW M

Today marks the next step in BMW's "Next" concept program, previewing the company's future. It's the most exciting step, too, because this particular concept is called the BMW Vision M Next. As this "Next" ground is still relatively untrodden, we'll make it clear that M means the same thing here as it does for every BMW M car.

  • Watch the 24 Hours of Nurburgring's most memorable moments

It's endurance racing season, folks. Or, at least for the last couple weekends it has been. This past weekend's 24 Hours of Nürburgring had its fair share of adventures. Audi won the race after taking advantage of a time penalty served by the Porsche that led most of the race.

  • Porsche issues recall for 100,000 cars due to rollaway risk

Porsche announced a recall for about 100,000 cars due to a rollaway risk. Porsche found that the bushing may degrade over time, causing it to detach. Porsche says one would be able to put the car in Park, take the key out, leave the vehicle, but the car wouldn't actually be in Park.

  • This might be a Lotus SUV test mule

The body on the chassis is clearly that of a Lynk and Co. 01 SUV, but the underpinnings are something different entirely. Using a Lynk and Co. body to test the Lotus SUV makes sense when you take into account who owns both companies. Geely happens to own Lotus, Lynk and Co. and Volvo, so they're all under the same roof at this point.

  • Another Ford GT is coming, and this is it

Ford just dropped this teaser of a shadowy, winged GT supercar staring back at us, and it certainly has our hearts pounding. If you're in the UK for Goodwood, you'll want to be at the Ford stand in the Drift Paddock for the news. Also, it has a roof scoop, which is something the normal Ford GT doesn't have.

Today we're told that a company called Drako Motors is going to be introducing its first production car this August in Monterey at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.

  • Dealer markups for Jeep Gladiator sometimes $20,000 over sticker price

As we peruse the listings on sites like Autotrader and Cars.com, another thing becomes obviously clear: Dealers are marking Gladiators up substantially. Take a look yourself and you'll find Gladiators of all trim levels listed for $10,000-$20,000 more than their MSRP, as pointed out by Car and Driver. Others are just normal Gladiators that dealers are looking to make a healthy profit on.

  • Pininfarina Battista gets a small redesign, still looks the business

  • People are confused and wrong about driver assistance systems, IIHS finds

A new IIHS study found that a scary amount of people are confused about the driver assistance systems found in cars today. One portion of the study involved the IIHS surveying participants about certain unsafe behaviors behind the wheel, given only the name of the driver assistance system. People weren't given the name of the brand for this section, and were instead told to answer the questions about Autopilot (Tesla), Traffic Jam Assist (Audi and Acura), Super Cruise (Cadillac), Driving Assistant Plus (BMW) and ProPilot Assist (Nissan).
