• Six Wedding Gifts You Never Think of Asking For

When I got married over thirteen years ago, my cousin gave me a rice cooker. I didn't ask for it and I asked her why she gave me something I didn't ask for. She responded, you will use it and you will love it. Well, she was completely right and after all these married years, the darn thing still works. Other than my daily dinner plates, my rice cooker is one of the best wedding gifts I received. The fondue pot on the other hand, it went out years ago. I have compiled a list of items I believe are great gifts to register for and they probably are not anything you might think about asking for.

  • Fall's in the Air: What to Stock Up on Now!

Fall is a wonderful season filled with outdoor football games, tailgates and chili, movies with blankets, art fairs with wine and starting indoor projects the summer forgot. As the season progresses though, our arms begin to chill and our toes need a warm cover. Fall is a time to nestle in. Take a moment to relax before gathering leaves that have fallen from the trees and stock up on the items you will be glad you have when the air turns cool and the wind picks up. Long Sleeves: A staple for the cooler temperatures. I am always shocked when I see those out in short sleeves this time of year. ...

  • Maybelline Baby Lips Review Teaches Valuable Lesson

Yahoo! Shine Baby Lips Review Teaches Valuable Lesson When Yahoo! Shine sent me my newest treat to try, Maybelline's Baby Lips in Cherry Me, I was so thankful. With the weather getting chilly outside, my lips had suddenly gone into shock mode. Instead of plump and moist from the humidity in the air, they were dry and chapped. Who likes chapped lips? I don't think anyone would prefer it. I ripped that baby open and slathered the balm onto my lips. Because the surrounding areas of my mouth were also dry and rough, I applied it to those areas also. ...

  • Beauty Guru Post: Apple's Product Picks For Right Now!

As a Shine Beauty Guru, I take my job seriously. Looking good and feeling good go hand and hand. When choosing products to use on a daily basis these criteria should be met. Beauty products should bring out the best in you and these products I am using right now do just that.

Skin is a huge issue in beauty. If the skin is dry and flaky, you don't look healthy. When the skin has broken out and is red and blotchy, you don't look clean. When the skin looks fresh and vibrant, you give off the impression you are healthy and clean and who doesn't want to be healthy and clean.

Sometimes too when you choose a product you may not like it first and I am going to renege on an article I wrote previously.
