    We quote song lyrics all the time. And we're not alone. There are those catchphrases from songs that end up crossing the line into the national conversation. They become part of our verbal shorthand. In fact, sometimes the catchphrase outlives the song. We forget where it originated in the first place. The song becomes a slogan, the slogan becomes a R-shirt, the T-shirt becomes a bumper sticker, and the whole thing becomes so oversaturated that you start over with another song. Rinse and repeat.
