When a quarterback is wearing a hat in the fourth quarter of an NFL game, he’s either done really well or really poorly. Take a bow, Carson Wentz and Jared Goff. Goff completed 14-of-22 passes for 311 yards in Sunday’s 51-17 rout, hooking up with Robert Woods twice, Sammy Watkins, and Tyler Higbee.
Deshaun Watson tore his ACL in Thursday’s workout and is lost for the season. Tom Savage, last seen playing poorly in the season opener against Jacksonville, is back in the saddle for Houston. Jacksonville’s defense deserves some credit for the Week 1 beatdown.
